Rahul Dravid wrote in his book, “Had Conversations With Cheteshwar Pujara About Captaincy and Batting in English Conditions”

Since Cheteshwar Pujara has been in the UK for the past several months, India’s head coach Rahul Dravid said that the squad spoke with him about the circumstances in England. Pujara was playing county cricket in England when the rest of Indian players were playing in the Indian Premier League. For the second year in a row, the 35-year-old performed well for Sussex while serving as their leader.

The talismanic batsman was Sussex’s best performer both last year and this season, smashing three hundreds.

Pujara had a significant influence for Sussex last season by amassing 1094 runs in the County Championship, including three double centuries that set a new record. He concluded the campaign with an average of 109.4.

Dravid said that they discussed the best strategies for the English conditions with Pujara as India prepares for a crucial match against Australia in the WTC Final at the Oval in London.

“We’ve spoken with Pujee about captaincy, obviously batting, but he also leads Sussex,” said the narrator. Therefore, he has a strong understanding of the tactics and strategies used by many of the county bowlers with whom he has played, according to Dravid, who spoke to the media in London before to the WTC Final.

The Indian head coach, however, said that they wouldn’t adjust their fundamentals much for the important match against Australia.

We’ve certainly had some chats and discussions with him about that, and we’ll now see how we may be able to integrate some of it. doesn’t significantly alter some of the game’s fundamentals. They never change,” said Dravid.

In June, The Oval will host its first-ever Test, and the atmosphere may not be as conducive to batting as it is later in the English summer. Dravid isn’t interpreting it too seriously, however.

“All we have to do is respond to what we see in terms of the circumstances and how it develops in the middle. And hopefully we have the means and aptitude to handle whatever comes our way, he said.
