Today marks the start of the Punjab State Hockey Championship

Hockey Punjab will host the Punjab State Hockey Championship (Senior, Junior Boys, and Girls) at the Olympian Surjeet Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar from April 25 to April 28, in accordance with Hockey India’s criteria. Teams from 23 different districts in the state are competing in this event, according to General Secretary Amrik Singh Puar and President Nitan Kohli of Hockey Punjab.

He also said that all of Punjab’s national umpires would oversee championship games under the direction of Hockey India’s Technical Delegate, Harinder Singh Singh, and Umpire Manager, Gurinder Singh Singh, an international umpire. Every preparation for this competition has been finished.

District Sports Officer Jalandhar Shashwat Razdan will open the championship on April 25 from 10 to 30 a.m. On the first day, junior boys’ bouts will be scheduled.

Players born after January 1, 1999 will compete in the senior category of this competition, while players born after January 1, 2005 will compete in the junior division.
