“Undoubtedly, We Are Missing Jasprit Bumrah”: Praveen Kumar laments India’s top player’s absence from the match against England

Regarding Virat Kohli’s absence from the India vs. England Test series and Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from the fourth Test in Ranchi, former Indian bowler Praveen Kumar provided some insight.

Participating in the Indian Veteran Premier League (IVPL), Praveen said that the team is undoubtedly without Jasprit Bumrah’s talents, since he was rested from the team’s four Test matches against England. The series consists of five matches.

Bumrah is the kind of bowler who can take wickets for the team at vital times, according to Praveen.

“Jasprit Bumrah will undoubtedly be absent from this Test match. He bowls in a very different way. His bowling ability is well acknowledged. He is the one who provides you the breakthroughs when the team needs wickets,” he said to CricketNext.

Day 1 began with India having reduced England to 112/5, but Joe Root proved he was a formidable force, taking the visitors to 353 with a masterful century. Ultimately, India gave away a 46-run advantage in the first innings, disappointing the country’s fans.

Why is Virat Kohli not available?

The right-arm medium bowler, who has spent a significant amount of time playing cricket with Kohli, said that the batter’s absence during this series presents a chance for the young players to demonstrate their skill at the greatest level.

As you can see, he has been a member of the squad for 16 years running. It’s okay if he is not unavailable. There are other young players as well. Because of Kohli’s absence, there is a vacancy that should be seized by someone else, according to Praveen.

The 37-year-old also gave Rohit Sharma credit for guiding the team in all forms and for being the captain.

“Regardless of the format in which he plays, Rohit is an excellent leader. Whether it’s an IPL, Test, ODI, or T20, he is excellent. He also said, “He understands how to play to each player’s strengths.

“Jaiswal is the best player, right?”

The manner Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal have performed in the series so far has pleased Praveen.

They are both excellent players. Actually, back when Sarfaraz was still with UP, I played with him as well. Back then, I was the side’s captain.

In a relatively small number of games, Yashasvi has already scored two double hundreds. Hey, zabardast player. We have such a left-handed opening after a very long time.

“IVPL is more of an event.”

Aside from that, the medium pacer praised IVPL for uniting “old friends.”

It’s an excellent competition. It’s an opportunity for all of the old pals to come together. For athletes who are older than thirty-five to forty, this is an excellent league,” he said.

The IIPL’s second season is being held in Greater Noida by the Board of Veteran Cricket in India.
