Utilize this Ranji final platform to excel and advance

Prashant Vaidya, the chairman of the Cricket Improvement and Development Committee of the Vidarbha Cricket Association, has stated that Akshay Wadkar’s team must recognize the significance of the current Ranji Trophy final against hosts Mumbai and take advantage of the chance to catch the eye of the national selectors.

“This is the largest [platform] that they can find. The game is being watched by former players participating in the match, and you are playing against Mumbai in front of the selectors. The former fast bowler for India in the One-Day Internationals, Vaidya, said midday on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium, “It’s definitely a big platform for any cricketer who wants to display his skill and progress to the higher level.”

Vaidya emphasized that Vidarbha, who were dismissed for only 105 in 45.3 overs on Monday, did not bat effectively in the first innings in the right circumstances. “You have to have one 400-plus score in a five-day game, either in the first or second innings,” he said. It is the batsmen’s duty to assume such duty. Today [Monday] was the finest batting condition we’ve experienced. We were unable to execute. It is quite regrettable that the batters were unable to put up the necessary effort.

Mumbai reached 141-2 at stumps for an overall advantage of 260 runs on Day Two as Vaidya saw his bowlers fail to break the third wicket partnership of 107 runs between captain Ajinkya Rahane (58 not out) and Musheer Khan (51 not out).

He believes that Vidarbha will recover. As you can see from our general record, we have always prevailed in these kinds of circumstances, as we demonstrated against Madhya Pradesh in the most recent semi-final match. The game is still available right now. It seems like the wicket will hold up based on its appearance. I hope our game goes well,” Vaidya said.

Vaidya was a member of the Bengal side that Mumbai defeated in the Wankhede Stadium Ranji final in 1993–94.
