UP STATE

According to CM Adityanath, the UP government is committed to provide uninterrupted power

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, reviewed the state’s power generating, transmission, and distribution system on Saturday and emphasised the need for thorough changes in the electricity division.

Every hamlet, town, and district in Uttar Pradesh has been lit during the last six years thanks to the prime minister’s leadership. He said that the electricity is always on.

“We are committed to ensuring a continuous electricity supply across the state 24 hours a day. “The energy sector needs comprehensive reforms to achieve self-sufficiency in the power sector,” Adityanath was quoted as saying in a statement.

The power supply businesses were instructed to make sure that not even one client receives an inaccurate bill. He said that the main problem for the electricity department and discoms is to issue proper bills on time and to collect the cash from the consumers.

He stated that in order to ensure prompt payment collection, the government and power supply companies would need to coordinate their efforts. Additionally, Adityanath ordered that all issues be handled quickly and without any needless power outages.

Accountability for feeders has to be resolved. He suggested that all the discoms should communicate more effectively with one another. According to the chief minister, individuals who steal power should face harsh legal consequences, but customers shouldn’t be harassed during investigations.

He also demanded that police against whom complaints have been made face consequences. Adityanath said that necessary measures should be taken to minimise line losses and called for the introduction of a one-time payment plan for defaulters.
