An UP addicted internet gamer murders her mother after reprimanding her repeatedly

PRAYAGRAJ: A 24-year-old teenager from the Fatehpur hamlet is accused of killing his mother because she used to chastise him for his debt-ridden online gaming addiction. Police claim that he killed his mother at Adhauli village, within the jurisdiction of Dhata police station in the Fatehpur district, while his father was abroad, and then took the corpse to a nearby riverbed and disposed of it using a tractor trolley.

Dhata police said that Himanshu Singh’s propensity to playing online games left him in debt to the tune of almost Rs 4 lakh. His parents would chastise him for this.
“Himanshu’s father Roshan Singh filed a formal complaint on Friday, alleging that his son killed his 50-year-old wife Prabha when he was visiting Chitrakoot.

The day his mother vanished, neighbors claimed to have seen Himanshu hauling something on a tractor trolley, according to Brindavan Rai, SHO of the Dhata police station.
Rai stated, “He told us he was addicted to online games and was under debt, because of which he stole some jewellery from his mother to repay the debt.” “Since Roshan Singh had named his son in the complaint, we arrested Himanshu on Saturday and during interrogation he confessed to his crime,” Rai continued. Rai quoted Himanshu as saying, “On this, his parents used to chastise him every now and then and even abuse him in front of everyone.”
