To link Lko with the sacred sites in Uttar Pradesh, UPSRTC would install 250 e-buses

To link Lucknow with the state’s holy sites and towns, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has chosen to launch a fleet of electric buses (e-buses). 250 buses will be introduced as part of the project in its first phase, with more buses to be added later, according to authorities.

On orders from state transport minister Dayashankar Singh, the state transport corporation has asked for 40% of the grant to move forward with the plan for 250 electric buses (UPSRTC) under the Fame India Scheme (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles in India). By giving them access to environmentally efficient, pollution-free buses, we can also guarantee that passengers’ health is improved, he said.

The state government aims to directly link important holy locations including Ayodhya, Kashi, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Chitrakoot with the state capital with electric buses, according to UPSRTC managing director Masoom Ali Sarwar. The buses are both affordable and environmentally friendly. He stated that this action is a step in the right way since both the state government and the minister want to see more electric buses in the UPSRTC fleet.
