To become a developed nation, institutions must be connected to industry: CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made these remarks on Friday at Bennett University’s fifth convocation ceremony in Greater Noida. He said that in order to make India a developed nation by 2047, we need to establish objectives for the next 25 years and link our institutions to industry.

“There is no reason why our country cannot become a developed India when its 142 crore people move forward with one voice and resolve,” Yogi said.

The chief minister planted seedlings on the university campus as part of the celebration. He received a “angavastram” from the university’s vice-chancellor.

A BTech student gave the chief minister a picture of Shri Ram Darbar on this particular occasion.

“Our university convocations are a transformed version of ancient India’s university and Gurukul convocations,” the chief minister remarked in his speech, wishing the graduating students well. Globally, graduates looked to the universities of ancient India as premier research and development hubs.

Yogi emphasized the significance of expressing the truth, living virtuously, refraining from becoming lazy in one’s self-study, and remaining on the road of truth and righteousness by citing a passage from the Taittiriya Upanishad, “Satyam vada dharmam chara svadhyayananma pramadah.” He advised the graduates to follow through on their good deeds, to grasp the chance to excel and to treat parents, professors, and visitors like gods.

Philosophically, he said, “What we often refer to as religion in everyday life may not be true religion; it could be just a part of it.” He said that as rituals and acts of devotion are private affairs, they cannot be categorized as religious.

“A wide notion, religion encourages us to walk the path of responsibilities, moral principles, and devout behavior. The chief minister said, “India has quickly become a major force in the world whenever the youth of India have followed this path.”

Yogi went on to say that every Indian, no matter what industry they work in, should embrace Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Panch Pran.” “This is only possible if everyone is facing a vision of ‘Nation First.'” For national growth, putting the country’s interests ahead of one’s own and one’s family is essential, he said.

The chief minister praised Bennett University’s achievements, noting that it had accomplished a great deal in only seven years. In addition to highlighting the university’s attempts to become a worldwide institution, he emphasized the significance of academic institutions supporting their local communities.

In addition, he emphasized that in order for India to become recognized as a developed nation, institutions must create connections with companies.

The chief minister expressed gratitude to Bennett University for its partnerships with over 20 CEOs from various companies, who serve as mentors to the students. In addition, he gave the students advice on the need to have a clear goal, work as a team, and acquire experience—all of which were especially pertinent given the difficulties caused by encephalitis and the COVID-19 epidemic.

He said that the state has the highest proportion of youth in the nation and that India has the largest young population in the world. He emphasized the need to use this strength going forward, saying that perseverance and hard effort are the keys to success in life. He promised the state government would continue to fund the institution.
