Police Issue Traffic Advisory; Expected Diversions on Noida Expressway Today

Traffic advice was sent by the Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Tuesday, informing commuters of potential detours on the Yamuna Expressway and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway later today.

The police did state that emergency vehicles would not be subject to any detours.

Due to an event in the nearby Bulandshahr district, the traffic police have recommended other routes for commuters, including those heading to Delhi. Officials said that today’s BJP event in Bulandshahr is likely to include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other state ministers and party leaders.

“The public is notified that a highly famous dignitary’s projected trip itinerary in the Bulandshahr area is scheduled for this Thursday, January 25. Because of this, traffic may be temporarily redirected onto the Yamuna and Noida-Greater Noida expressways in the event of an emergency in Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar, according to police advice. According to the police, emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the traffic diversion safely. Commuters are advised to use other routes to minimize any disturbance.

The police issued an advise saying, “Migrants can contact the traffic helpline number 9971009001 in case of traffic inconvenience.” Only in the event that it becomes necessary may the two major expressways be diverted. The announcement of the diversions, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav, was made to ensure that commuters choose other routes and that any disruption to them is minimized.

The traffic plan for Thursday states that the traffic from Chilla Red Light heading towards Greater Noida would be redirected from the Sector 14A flyover towards the Sector 15 roundabout. From there, it will be able to go along the DSC route to its destination. Traffic traveling over the highway from DND to Greater Noida will be rerouted to Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16. The alert said that this traffic would be allowed to get to its destination via the MP-01 and DSC routes.

Likewise, traffic traveling across the highway from the Kalindi border to Greater Noida would be redirected from the Mahamaya flyover to Sector 37. It also said that the MP-03 and DSC routes would allow this traffic to go to its destination. The double service road from the Sector 44 roundabout will be used to redirect traffic heading towards Greater Noida from the Sector 37 highway. It said that this traffic would be able to travel the DSC route via a double-service road to get to its destination.

The Charkha roundabout will be redirected towards Sector 94 for those traveling from Greater Noida towards Noida via the highway. This traffic will be able to go via Sector 37 and the Mahamaya flyover to get to its destination. Travelers heading towards DND/Chilla from the Kalindi Border to the Dalit Prerna Sthal Parking Tiraha will be detoured over the Mahamaya Flyover and into Sector 37. This traffic will be able to go from Sector 37 to the destination via the MP-03 and DSC routes.

A U-turn under the Filmcity overpass will reroute traffic traveling from GIP Mall towards DND. The alert states that this traffic will be able to go to its destination via the elevated and DSC routes. Rajnigandha Chowk will be used as a detour for those traveling from Rajnigandha to Delhi by the DND flyover. It said that this traffic will be able to go from the New Ashok Nagar border to the destination via the DSC route.

Likewise, traffic from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 would be redirected to Sector 14A flyover, which will carry it towards Delhi. It also said that this traffic would be allowed to go from the New Ashok Nagar border to the destination via the DSC route. Traffic from Zero Point traveling via the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida will be rerouted to Pari Chowk. Through the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Kasna town, Sirsa, this traffic will be able to go to its destination.

According to the advise, motorists heading from Agra towards Noida would be able to detour into Jewar town before reaching Jewar toll plaza and proceed to their goal via the Sabauta underpass via the Khurja bypass via Jahangirpur. Additionally, traffic heading toward Sujpur from Pari Chowk will be redirected into the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway instead of continuing on towards Noida. It also said that this traffic would be able to go from Surajpur to its destination via Greater Noida West.
