UP CM Adityanath begins a campaign to plant trees throughout the state

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, launched the “Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan 2023” on Saturday by planting a sapling at this location and stating that trees older than 100 years are being protected and granted historical status in the state.

According to an official release, the chief minister launched the state-wide planting program and encouraged everyone to get involved in the effort to protect the environment by giving students seedlings.

He had already laid the cornerstone for Vidur Kuti’s Government Sanskrit Inter College. According to the report, he also dedicated and laid the cornerstones for other development projects totaling Rs. 445 crore.

The chief minister spoke to a crowd on the occasion and stated that Bijnor has a significant history that dates back thousands of years. It gives me great satisfaction to have the chance to lead the 2023 tree planting effort from this revered location, he remarked.

He said that as part of the vast plantation program, Uttar Pradesh would establish a new record by planting 30 crore saplings. Trees that are 100 years old are now being protected and given the title of historic trees.

The chief minister said that five crore more seedlings would be planted in the state on August 15.
