Adityanath reviews the planning department’s work and provides guidance for the development of Bundelkhand and Purvanchal

According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, funding for the development of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand should be used after taking into account the areas’ multifaceted and long-term objectives. This was said at a review meeting of the planning department on Friday.

According to a formal statement, Adityanath provided the gathering with the required instructions on the development of the state’s sector-specific potential. “There are tremendous prospects for growth in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal. By collaborating with technological organizations and universities, we can examine these options, Adityanath remarked.

According to Adityanath, a thorough analysis should be done to determine which sectors and locations need work and what sort of support should be offered. According to him, the planning department should prepare this research report and utilize it appropriately to integrate the findings in the action plan. According to the chief minister, funding for Bundelkhand and Purvanchal’s development should be allocated taking into account both the region’s local needs and its long-term, multifaceted development demands.

Adityanath also praised the state’s yearly Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), which has been steadily rising. According to him, the total gross domestic product (GSDP) was Rs 16,45,317 crore in 2020–21 and rose to Rs 19,74,532 crore in 2021–22, an increase of about 20%. He noted that the projected GSDP for 2022–2023 is Rs 21.91 lakh crore. “This is encouraging, and work should continue to build an economy worth $1 trillion,” Adityanath added.

The chief minister said that every district that was selected as part of the Aspirational District Program has shown exceptional performance. In May 2023, six districts in Uttar Pradesh would be among the top 10 districts nationwide, according to the Champions of Change Dashboard from NITI Aayog, he added. The administration, according to Adityanath, has made the Aspirational Development Block Program a major priority and is actively monitoring each of the development blocks.

The top-performing development block in theme areas will earn cash incentives of Rs 60 lakh each, and the development block with the greatest overall delta rating will receive Rs 2 crore. According to the CM, the State Transformation Commission was established for long-term planning for the growth of the state. He said, “Qualified experts should be selected or nominated as soon as possible for all key positions in the commission.”
