Akhilesh Yadav says the current situation is worse than the Emergency era

Former chief minister and president of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav said that the current state of affairs in the nation is worse than it was during the Emergency era, adding that even 48 years later, the dreadful events of June 25, 1975, still appear to be sending chills down people’s spines.
“While the civil rights were taken away during the Emergency, the countrymen were horrified of the torture in 19 months,” he said. The current scenario, according to Yadav, is worse than it was during the Emergency era. Speaking the truth is being put into practise nowadays.
“Action is being made towards posing inquiries to the government. Nobody should anticipate justice under the BJP administration. People’s democratic and constitutional rights are being taken away. The institutions of the Constitution are deteriorating. He said, “Press freedom is in jeopardy.

According to the SP president, socialists have always been dedicated to preserving the freedom movement’s history and defending democracy and the Constitution.
“Socialists have fought for civil rights and the right to free speech. The Samajwadi administration provided a monthly stipend to those democratic activists who had battled to preserve democracy during the Emergency. The Democracy Protection Act was passed to safeguard all of this, he stated.
Yadav said that our nation’s Uniform Civil Code is the Constitution promulgated by Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
“The BJP members are sowing division in society and sowing enmity. But as of right moment, no BJP approach will succeed. The BJP would be completely eliminated in 2024 due to the manner the coalition is being created and the joining of all the parties, he said.
