Appeasement policies lead to violence during Ram Navami in non-BJP states: Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that “policies of appeasement” are to blame for the violence on Ram Navami in states that are not BJP-ruled.

“Whether it is the violence on Holi or Ram Navami, in states that are not BJP-ruled, like West Bengal, it is the unfortunate result of the policies of appeasement and manipulating the sentiments of the majority community,” Yogi said at his home.

This kind of friction inside the community is the result of vote-bank tactics that are done in the guise of appeasement. This is a warning to the nation’s citizens and a cause for alarm,” he said.

When the BJP-ruled states “fail” to provide protection for the nonviolent processions on Ram Navami, Adityanath questioned how they would be able to protect the “sisters and daughters.”

He urged the electorate to use their vote to send a message to the “so-called secular people and parties” who take advantage of “our emotions.”

Adityanath, who is scheduled to address a rally in Chattisgarh, said that, similar to the rest of the country, the people of Chattisgarh are pleased with the Ram temple’s construction.
