BJP Employee in Uttar Pradesh Attempts Suicide During Facebook Live in Moradabad Due to “False” Rape Allegations

In Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, a district-level leader of the BJP’s farmers wing reportedly attempted suicide while participating in a Facebook Live session. The guy, who was purportedly named as Veer Singh, said that his party colleagues did not support him and that he had been set up in a bogus rape allegation.

According to a report, Singh, a representative of the BJP Kisan Morcha, was recently beaten by some neighborhood residents at a temple and then accused of sexually assaulting a lady.

The BJP lawmaker reportedly ingested poison while conducting a live Facebook session on Saturday night, claiming he was unable to face his 15-year-old daughter in the wake of the rape allegation.

In the 7-minute video, he is heard stating, “The rape allegations are false, and I am deeply disappointed that my party colleagues didn’t support me,” according to the report.

Veer Singh owns a cosmetics store and lives in Moradabad’s Kaanth neighborhood. He said that the allegations against him are a result of a “property dispute” and are a part of a wider plot by envious party members.

In the meanwhile, according to Moradabad police, Singh got into a fight with the head of a temple committee on Thursday in the Kaanth neighborhood. As a result, both parties filed police charges against one another.

Superintendent of police (rural), Sandeep Kumar Meena was reported in article as stating, “Veer Singh claimed he was physically assaulted, while the other man accused him of sexually assaulting a woman inside the temple premises.”

An FIR has been filed by the police against both guys.

Singh had ingested poison and was found comatose in the same temple on Saturday night, according to information given to the police.
