Container truck catches fire in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, killing the driver and conductor
Officials said on Wednesday that a container truck’s conductor and driver perished in the Muradnagar region of this Uttar Pradesh district after their vehicle collided with a high-tension cable and caught fire.
They stated that the vehicle was traveling from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad to a business in the Sainthali hamlet adjacent to the Delhi-Meerut Road to supply cooling equipment.
Lakhshman Singh, a 44-year-old driver, was named while the conductor’s identity is still unknown, according to the authorities.
According to fire department authorities, the vehicle collided with a high-tension cable, igniting the cooling equipment inside.
The two guys were pulled from the burning vehicle and transferred to a local hospital, where the medical staff pronounced them dead, according to the report.
They stated that the corpses had been submitted for post-mortem.
When the fire was discovered at 11:35 a.m., four water tenders were sent, according to Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal.
“The driver’s family has been notified by the police. The issue is being investigated, Pal continued.
