Six-year-old boy killed after under-construction gate falls on him in UP’s Ghaziabad

In the Muradnagar neighborhood of this district, an under-construction park gate fell, killing a six-year-old kid and injuring two others, according to authorities on Tuesday.

The gate fell on Monday night when the three kids were playing in the park, burying them underneath, according to the police.

The three kids were saved right away, but according to reports, two of them were hospitalized and one, called Subhan, passed away.

The contractor Manoj Kumar, who was building a park gate close to the Muradnagar town area government school, has been the subject of a formal complaint, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Rural, Vivek Chandra Yadav.

The DCP said that searches are being carried out at the contractor’s potential hiding place and that they anticipate apprehending him shortly.

The local municipality issued the offer, according to District Magistrate RK Singh, who spoke with PTI.

He added that the municipal body’s chairman and executive officer had received instructions to put the rogue contractor on a blacklist.

According to Singh, the state government has received a referral for the suspension and departmental investigation of Satyendra Kumar, a junior engineer, for failing to provide enough supervision of the construction activity.

The district magistrate went on to say that the executive officer and chairman of the Muradnagar municipality had been sent show cause letters.

He said that the report of the preliminary investigation conducted by a commission led by the additional district magistrate served as the foundation for this decision.
