Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh: Two dead leopards from the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve

According to authorities, on Friday, two dead leopards were discovered in a sugarcane field in the Dhaurahra range region of the Dudhwa buffer zone, close to Tandpurwa hamlet in the Dhaurahra tehsil.

The two male leopards, who are thought to be two years old, were reported to have perished in a territorial dispute on Thursday, according to Lalit Verma, the field director of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR).

According to the authorities, the massive canine of the big cats left puncture holes on the animals’ bodies.

According to Verma, the Dhaurahra range headquarters performed the post-mortem on the leopards in accordance with the norms set out by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

He continued by saying that infighting was the reason of the two leopards’ deaths, according to the post-mortem findings.
