A man in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, stabs his wife to death because they are late for lunch, then hangs himself at home

Sitapur: According to the police, a 30-year-old man murdered his wife with a sharp object after they argued over her not bringing him lunch on time. He then hanged himself in his Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, home.
The event happened on Monday, March 18, in the Kotwalanpurwa hamlet in the Thangaon police station area, according to the police.

Prema Devi, 28, and her husband Parasram have been named as the dead, according to SHO Hanumant Lal Tiwari of the Thangaon police station.

What the police say is as follows:
Using a sharp knife, the enraged husband,, Parasram,, assaulted and murdered his wife first. He then hanged himself inside the home out of dread of the repercussions and possible jail, according to SHO Tiwari.

Police said that on Monday afternoon, after labouring in the fields, Parasram came home and begged his wife for food. But when he saw that the meal was not ready, he became angry, which sparked a fight between the two of them.

According to the police, the fight became more intense to the point that Parasram killed his wife by attacking her with the sharp object many times.

Villagers said that the accused spouse had secluded himself in a room and then hanged himself after the event.

According to the police, corpses have been transferred for postmortem analysis.
