Greater Noida: Temple construction in housing societies now requires the approval of at least two-thirds of the inhabitants

To construct temples within high-rise society grounds, a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from two-thirds of the total number of flats in the society is required. After learning about a recent protest in a community of 5,000 flats in Greater Noida West, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) issued the declaration on Saturday.
The demonstration was staged on Saturday morning in Gaur City 2 on 14th Avenue in Greater Noida West, according to sources, and this led to the development. After the society’s maintenance company overnight dismantled a makeshift temple that people had erected from the parking lot, the community’s inhabitants staged a protest against the developer.

Police were summoned after the demonstration. Residents were afterwards advised of the pre-existing process by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority authorities.

“Our team examined the area and advised the locals that they must adhere to the GNIDA Building Bylaws and the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act. In order to avoid future problems, homeowners must get a NOC from 2/3 of the total number of flats in the society before making any changes to the present layout, according to Amandeep Duli, auxiliary chief executive officer of GNIDA.

“At this time, it is our duty to provide parking to each and every 14th Avenue homeowner. Building a temple in someone’s parking space is utterly improper, and it is also against the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority’s regulations. If locals decide to construct a temple in the future, they must first get permission from the relevant authorities, according to the Gaur Group’s media coordinator, as reported by Hindustan Times.
