How AI Will Help At The Ayodhya Event To Identify Rule-Breakers And Maintain Law and Order

New Delhi: Ayodhya has increased security in anticipation of the Ram Temple’s grand inauguration event on January 22. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) provided information on a possible security breach, which prompted the warning to be raised.

Following the new threats, the Uttar Pradesh police has deployed around 12,000 officers to the Ayodhya area. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has also been brought in to keep an eye out for risks.

A top level source informed NDTV, “MHA has sent a high-level cyber expert team to Ayodhya to deal with cyber threat before Pran Pratistha event.”

“It’s a mega event and continuous inputs regarding misuse of cyberspace are being evaluated and alerts are being issued accordingly,” said the official.

He said that multiple agencies have established up integrated control centers where risks are continuously monitored.

Security organizations will be using AI surveillance systems for the first time to find criminals and flag questionable activity.

About 10,000 CCTV cameras have been deployed across Ayodhya. About 400 of them are in the yellow zone and close to the shrine. We are using AI for face recognition for the first time in the yellow zone, according to Prashant Kumar, Director General of Law and Order of the Uttar Pradesh police.

The criminal database of Uttar Pradesh is being posted on the portals to help AI recognize and match offenders.

“The AI-based CCTV surveillance system will also help in detecting frequent visitors or any common trend followed by a group of people while visiting the temple premises,” says Kumar.

On Monday, PM Modi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, and a number of other dignitaries will be present for the opening ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

On January 12, the ceremonies leading up to the temple’s dedication began. According to reports, PM Modi will conduct the “Pran Pratistha” puja on January 22. The primary Pran Prathistha rites will be carried out by a group of priests under the direction of Lakshmikant Dixit.
