Kanpur Rape Suspect Eats Lizard to Avoid Going to Jail
In Kanpur, a guy who was being held by police on charges of kidnapping and raping a young girl reportedly ate a lizard to avoid going to prison. The event was discovered when the man’s condition deteriorated and the police transported him to the Bhitargaon Community Health Centre, where the medical staff recommended that he be sent to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital.
The girl’s father, who lives in a hamlet near the Sadh police station, reported to the authorities on June 14 that one of their female relatives had abducted his 18-year-old daughter.
In response to the father’s allegation, police opened an investigation and lodged a case. The girl was subsequently located in Bengaluru by police.
On Sunday, a police unit apprehended a guy and saved the girl.
The suspect identified himself as Mahesh Kumar, 24, of Kishanpur village in the Fatehpur district, during questioning.
In her statement to the police, the child claimed that she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
Later, while incarcerated, the defendant Mahesh captured and consumed the lizard.
