Visiting Ayodhya? The “Prasad” of Lord Ram, more than 13 lakh Desi Ghee Laddoos, Are Awaiting You

Thousands of delicious desi ghee laddoos are neatly placed in thalis on the first floor of the Choti Chavni building in Ayodhya, near Karsewakpuram. These laddoos are freshly created, and hundreds of workers toil away on them. The structure is essentially transformed into a “laddoo factory.”

Up to 13.5 lakh laddoos are being made here as a special Prasad of Lord Ram, which will be distributed to the 8,000 or so guests of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 for the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony, as well as to members of the VHP, RSS, and BJP and the general public on January 23 when the temple opens for public darshan.

Three different kinds of steel containers are being used to produce and pack the laddoos: an 11-laddoo packing for those invited to the “Pran Pratishtha” event, a 7-laddoo packing for workers of the VHP, RSS, and BJP, and a 5-laddoo packing for the general public starting on January 23. The Ram Temple stickers on the various sized steel containers represent the benediction of Lord Ram.

However, producing 13.5 lakh laddoos is a labor-intensive operation, and volunteers have been working here nonstop to ensure that these laddoos are ready by January 22. They also make sure that each laddoo has the same size and form and is carefully packed into steel containers.

NN Pandey, a former government officer, is supervising the effort and contributing all of his expertise. He served as Jharkhand’s home secretary and is present as a disciple of the late Devraha Hans Babaji, with whose direction this work is being completed.

“Devraha Baba has declared that Lord Ram is the rightful owner of Ram Janmabhoomi and always will be. We are celebrating Prasad’s desire being granted with this celebration,” Pandey said to News18.

Every laddoo container is packaged in a bag along with three booklets detailing the history of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and Devraha Baba’s contributions. The bag also includes an angavastra.

According to Pandey, thousands of these bags are also prepared and will be given to VHP employees in Karsewakpura on Friday. “This is the greatest seva and a religious endeavor. One of the ladies who is meticulously packaging the laddoos in the containers adds, “We hope all Ram Bhakts are pleased with this prasad and take it back home to their families so that the divinity of Lord Ram reaches their households.”

According to Pandey, the general public would continue to get prasad delivery after January 22.
