Major Accident in Kasganj: Tractor-Trolley Falls in Pond, Killing 20 UP Devotees En route to Bathe in Ganga

A high-speed tractor trolley lost control and toppled in a pond on Saturday in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh, tragically killing at least 20 persons, including women and children.

When the tragedy happened, the automobile was apparently transporting devotees to Kadarganj Ghat so they could take a sacred bath in the Ganga river.

The incident was reported close to the Patiali Kotwali area’s Dariavganj station.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the event and provided compensation of Rs 50,000 for the wounded and Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased.

Additionally, he gave the authorities instructions to make sure the wounded individuals got the right care.
