Noida: A high-rise in Gaur City catches fire, however no injuries have been reported as of yet

On Thursday, a fatal fire started in an apartment in the Gaur City neighborhood of Greater Noida West’s 16th Avenue society. At the scene, fire tenders have been sent in, and work is being done to put out the fire. One of the apartments on the second level of the housing complex is where the fire originated.

Images from the site showed residents frantically running for cover as massive clouds of black smoke rose from the structure.

Aaj Tak said that several individuals may be stuck inside the apartments. The origin of the fire, the amount of damage, and/or the number of casualties are yet unknown to the authorities.

In order to help put out the fire, firefighters from the surrounding regions have been called in, according to a Hindustan Times story.

An April fire occurred in Gaur City 2’s 14th Avenue the previous year. According to reports, the fire started on Tower L’s bottom level and worked its way up. There were no confirmed casualties.

Similar events occurred on Wednesday when a fire broke out at Nawroj Hill Society in Mumbai’s Bandra West neighborhood of Pali Hill. The building is where Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez resides.

Locals claim that the 13th floor kitchen of the building is where the fire originated. According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez lives in a sumptuous five-bedroom apartment in the building.

According to a municipal source cited by PTI, “the fire broke out in the residential building situated on Nargis Dutt Road at around 8 PM.”
