Yogi Adityanath Gives Officials Instructions To Complete UP’s Green Hydrogen Policy

Lucknow: According to a press statement from the Chief Minister’s office, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the implementation of the Green Hydrogen Policy to boost clean and green energy generation sources in the state in light of the challenges posed by climate change and global warming.

During a meeting when the draft policy was being reviewed, he said that in order to ensure that investors and users would benefit to the fullest extent possible, stakeholders in this industry should be informed prior to the policy’s finalization.

According to the Chief Minister, green hydrogen has to be promoted because it is a clean energy source that contributes to reaching the net zero goal.

Additionally, instructions were provided on how to maximize rewards for businesses operating in the green hydrogen industry.

Benefits for companies establishing units should include land availability, exemption from energy and stamp tax, capital and interest subsidies, and appealing incentives, among other things.

Prior to finalizing the policy, the Chief Minister instructed staff to review analogous policies from other states.
