A Lucknow momo seller surprises his customers by speaking excellent English and revealing that he is a professor

India’s current social media environment has worked as a launchpad for a variety of restaurants and food stands. When the proprietors of Baba Ka Dhaba’s poor conditions were made public online a few years ago, it attracted significant attention during the epidemic. Similarly, creative names like MBA Chai Wala, Chai GPT, and B.Tech Chaiwali catapulted a number of tea stands into the public eye on social media. A recent popular video with an unusual protagonist—an English professor turned momo vendor—adds to this trend.

An person is seen in this viral video selling handmade momos in Lucknow’s renowned Chatori Gali. Because of the owner’s flawless mastery of the English language, the business fittingly named “Mad About Momos” stands out and is used to draw clients. The seller boasts that his mouthwatering momos are made with extreme care for cleanliness. Impressively, the food blogger who uploaded the video goes by the Instagram moniker “Lifewithdarpan.” She claims that the vendor’s academic background is that of an English professor.

An affordable plate of 10 vegetarian momos costs Rs 100 for the savory choices. The stall is open for a brief period from 4 to 6 p.m. To draw consumers in, the English professor uses sauces like Badam Chutney and Schezwan sauce, a combination that demonstrates his culinary ingenuity. Amazingly, as Darpan Khurana’s article emphasized, the momo master is able to sell out all of his goods in only two hours. This outstanding achievement heightens the appeal of his business.

An astounding 11 million people have already seen the trending video, which is posted on Instagram, demonstrating the level of interest it has generated. The comment area has been overrun with responses from curious viewers, with humor and originality in plenty. Funny enough, one reviewer made fun of the vendor’s language ability by inventing the name “Grammatically Prepared Momos.” Another jokingly advised the merchant to take the IELTS test and consider sending his cooking skills to Canada. The audience was moved by the contrast between selling momos and the elegance of the English language. An Instagram user urged respect for the English professor’s business mentality rather than making light of it amid the jokes and laughter.
