Watch: 150 Twin and Triplet Pairs Gather in Kerala To Honor Companionship

The internet is full of amazing and even strange stories, as well as situations that leave us in complete amazement. Recently, a remarkable incident taking place in Kerala captured the attention of social media users. About 150 pairs of twins—38 sets of identical twins and three sets of triplets—gathered to celebrate “companionship” at an assisted living facility.

According to The New Indian Express (TNIE), the All Kerala Twins Community (AKTC) planned the unique event, which was dubbed “Iratta Vismayam 24” or “Twin Wonder 2024.” P Rajkumar, Kochi’s assistant commissioner of police, gave the event’s opening remarks. Almost all of the attendees enthusiastically participated. Twin sisters Bhagyalekshmi and Dhanalekshmi, who are affectionately known on social media as Ponnu and Chinnu, were among the guests.

AKTC posted a message in Malayalam on the Instagram account, giving a peek of the endearing twins get-together. It basically translates to “Twin family” when translated into English.

A variety of cultural activities that were carefully designed to foster sibling bonding were included in the event. The twins have chances to bond and reinforce their connections via these activities. In addition, while they spoke to the attendees, the twins related their own experiences as well as amusing tales.

Preetha Mukesh, the administrator of AKTC, was cited by TNIE as stating, “Some members led by Viswas S. Vavolil from Ranni initiated the idea of forming the community.” It has developed into a community of more than 150 pairs of twins and triplets that stretches from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram as a result of persistent efforts. We now even have a twins-only WhatsApp group.

According to reports, AKTC was first established in January of this year via a WhatsApp group. The community has quickly grown to include 300 people from various parts of Kerala who are between the ages of six and forty. These individuals are from all throughout the state, from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, representing various regions and cities.
