After RCB’s WPL victory, the Bengaluru taxi driver gives chocolates to every passenger

On Sunday night, Bengaluru saw a momentous occasion when Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals handily in the Women’s Premier League 2024. Social media photos of RCB supporters swarming the city’s streets were shared, but Team Bengaluru was also showered with congratulations from all corners of society. One more ardent supporter decided to honor RCB’s accomplishment in a modest but distinctive manner.

The guy, a taxi driver, celebrated RCB’s thrilling victory by giving chocolates to everyone who got into his vehicle. A commuter posted a photo of this kind gesture on his X account. “I got into the cab this morning in Namma Bengaluru, and the driver gave me this chocolate!” All of his clients are receiving chocolates from him today! Why? because RCB prevailed. “This city, its supporters, and the affection—incredible!” he captioned the photo.

The social media community instantly noticed the “peak Bengaluru” moment. One person commented on the picture, saying, “RCB fans are truly awesome.” “Namma Bengaluru and the people of the city are amazing,” another person said. Their devotion to cricket and the Royal Bengal Tigers is very inspiring. All that was written in a remark was “awwwwwwwww.” One more remark said, “This is enormous!”

Following their announcement as the new WPL winners, RCB drove the cricket community into a frenzy. They defeated Delhi by eight wickets in order to accomplish this amazing accomplishment. Bengaluru defeated the reigning champion Mumbai Indians in the eliminator before handily defeating Washington in the WPL final for the second time in a row. Bengaluru had missed out on a playoff position in the tournament’s first iteration in 2023.

Virat Kohli, the former captain of the RCB Men, praised the victorious squad on Instagram and referred to them as “Superwomen.” After the triumph, he also chatted with Captain Smriti Mandhana over a facetima.

RCB Women were the first Bangalore team to win the championship in the history of the IPL or WPL, regardless of gender. Three times, in 2009, 2011 and 2016, the RCB men’s squad made it to the IPL final, but each time they lost.
