In an IndiGo sandwich, a woman finds a worm. Airline Reacts

New Delhi: On Saturday, IndiGo Airlines expressed regret to a lady who had reportedly discovered a worm in the sandwich that had been provided to her on a journey from Delhi to Mumbai.
The passenger said in an Instagram post, “I’ll be sending in a formal complaint via email shortly.

However, as a public health specialist, I’m curious as to why, despite being aware of the poor quality of the sandwich and alerting the flight attendant beforehand, the flight attendant carried on serving sandwiches to other customers. Children, the elderly, and other passengers were present. What happens if someone becomes infected?”

Then she continued, saying, “Just one assurance that passenger health and safety should be your top priority.” She did not need any payment or reimbursement.

However, IndiGo issued an apology to the lady in a statement and said that they are looking into the situation right now.

“We are aware that one of our clients has expressed concerns about their flight 6E 6107 from Delhi to Mumbai. We would like to underline how determined we are to maintain the best possible standards for food and beverage service on board. Our team had promptly stopped serving the particular sandwich in issue after conducting an inquiry,” the statement said.

“We are actively collaborating with our caterer to ensure that the necessary remedial actions are done, and we are now conducting a full investigation into the incident. We really regret any trouble we may have given the traveler,” the statement said.
