In order to beat the heat and stay cool this summer, Vadodara Traffic Police Get AC Helmets

The need for novel solutions arises when faced with new difficulties, and the students of IIM Vadodara rose to the occasion. They made AC helmets for the Vadodara Traffic Police, providing them with a refreshing break from the scorching heat that was sweeping the country. The cops who endure the weather day and night to maintain traffic safety and order greatly benefit from these battery-operated helmets. These kids did a fantastic job, and it’s almost like a touching testament to their commitment.

“These have been distributed to troops who are on the roadways throughout the day. The helmet, which runs on batteries, aids in regulating body temperature. This helmet has been distributed to around 450 workers, the police agency said.

The Ahmedabad Traffic Police also started using AC helmets last year. In order to provide cops around the state—including those in Lucknow—a reprieve from the heat and rain, Kanpur Traffic Police will soon be testing them.

What are these AC helmets, though?

These helmets are distinctive in that they have a plastic top with an integrated structure that resembles a fan. The battery pack that traffic police officers wear securely around their waist powers these cooling marvels. These helmets have an impressive eight hours of effective operation on a single full charge. They provide a refreshing wind in addition to protecting the Ahmedabad traffic cops from dust and other contaminants. Fascinatingly, these helmets weigh 500 grams more than standard riding helmets.

The “AC helmet” stands apart from conventional riding helmets because to its thin plastic top. It has a fan mechanism in addition to a few other parts. These specialty helmets are said to typically cost between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 16,000.
