Jack Dorsey’s Viral Reaction to Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads Follow Request

Since its debut, Threads has been in the news. For those who are unaware, the US-based software firm Meta just unveiled its brand-new social media platform called “Threads” for text update sharing and participating in group chats. The software has already received more than 150 million downloads and is still making headlines. Through it all, Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter, responded to Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads follow request. On Twitter, Dorsey posted a screenshot of the follow request that Zuck had issued.

However, Dorsey’s response is now in the news. “Too soon b,” he captioned the picture.

Since being posted, the picture has received over 7 million views and generated humorous responses. One Twitter user said, “The Jack Dorsey redemption arc is so fun to watch.” Another individual said, “Zuck is getting cooked here but the Twitter chaos actually makes Zuck’s professionalism look pretty good.”

“I find it inconceivable that a U.S. computer titan would be so needy as to just duplicate another technology and then offer it for a higher price. What an idiot!” referred to another individual.

Dorsey also happened to be one among individuals who lost the verification badge after Elon Musk paid blue ticks. As a response, he developed Bluesky, an Android-only microblogging service and Twitter competitor. A number of additional features were included in the Dorsey-supported Bluesky app, which was first made available to iOS customers in February as a closed beta.

Basic features for monitoring likes or bookmarks, modifying tweets, quote-tweeting, direct messages, utilizing hashtags, and more were added in its overall goal to offer people algorithmic choice.
