Parle-G has now drawn attention by swapping out its famous girl’s visage with an Instagram influencer’s. Startled? And now for the twist. The biscuit company responded to content artist Zervaan J Bunshah’s popular film with a picture, but they haven’t made the change permanent.

Content creator Zervaan J Bunshah recently posed the question to his followers: if they met the Parle owner, what would they name him? “Parle sir, Mr. Parle, or Parle G?” will it be? Bunshan may also be seen seated in the footage, his face seeming perplexed.

The message went viral and received responses from a large number of followers, but it also reached Parle, who cleverly responded to the joke. It said, “Bunshah ji, you can call us the OG.” Afterward, it also posted a photo where Bunshah’s face was smoldered in place of the well-known Parle-G girl. “While you figure out what to call Parle-G’s owner, feel free to call us your favorite biscuit to enjoy with a cup of chai,” the post said. Netizens were delighted by this amusing interaction between Mr. Bunshah and Parle-G. Some, however, voiced their disapproval of the updated packaging and demanded that the “OG” brand never remove the recognizable girl’s face from the cookies.
