The internet reacts when a man posts a video of a sleeper coach filled with people and luggage

The advent of Vande Bharat trains has resulted in a significant transformation of India’s railway transit network. Those who often travel between states because of job obligations have undoubtedly benefited from these very fast trains with cutting-edge amenities. According to the Railway Minister, there are presently over 80 Vande Bharat train services running on the Broad Gauge (BG) electrified network across states. However, a lot of people still depend on outdated passenger and express trains with sleeper carriages because they consider the cost of the Vande Bharat tickets to be too high.

The railway ministry has been inundated with concerns lately about the state of conventional trains. Numerous images and videos on social media serve as justification for their unhappiness. A few days before, one of the passengers on the Maurya Express complained about the unhygienic conditions in the sleeping carriage.

A video of a packed Maurya Express sleeper compartment was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by one of the man’s friends. “A friend of mine was travelling in the 15027 Maurya Express train yesterday,” the post’s title said. The train’s state is so awful that walls are damaged, air is pouring in from outside, and all nuts and bolts are loose. By God’s favor (Sab Bhagwan Bharose Hai), the train was moving.

The video was originally inserted into the comments section of another X post that included an image of a crowded express train sleeper carriage. Imagine yourself traveling with your family in an Indian Railway sleeper carriage. That is what the individual who posted the picture stated. You have paid substantial tatkal costs or made a reservation in advance for your seat. You are traveling with your spouse, elderly parents, or children. Imagine them using this packed, reserved carriage to use the restroom. To get Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister, to notice him, he also tagged him in the post.

A number of individuals commented on the experience, finding it to be highly realistic. “That’s the difference between one-day Bharat and every-day Bharat express,” a user said.

One person said, “Leave sleeper coaches, you sometimes find crowded 3AC corridors/places nearby washrooms.”

“I have stopped traveling in SL class even though I can hardly afford 3AC or 2AC,” said another. SL is now just a GC with a shine. There are no TTEs in sight. These careless individuals not only obstruct traffic but also drain the restroom water and leave it reeking of filth.

The individual was requested to provide his “journey details (PNR/UTS No.) and mobile number.” by the Divisional Railway Manager of North Eastern Railway’s Lucknow Division, over his official X account.

Since appearing on the microblogging site, both postings have received thousands of views and several comments.
