Woman Finds Groundbreaking Way To End Family’s Smartphone Addiction

Overuse of cell phones may disrupt relationships and work, even though they can be very useful tools. As a consequence, virtual connections start to take precedence over interpersonal ones. The internet is buzzing after a mother came up with a novel way to deal with her family’s smartphone addiction. Manju Gupta, the housewife, had her family sign a contract promising to use their gadgets sensibly.

According to her, her family members are now more bonded to their phones than to one another.
Three rules were outlined in the agreement, which was written in Hindi on non-judicial stamp paper. The family members should stare at the sun once they are awake rather than their phones. Second, phones should be kept out of the dining room and everyone must dine together at the table. Finally, in order to save members from wasting time viewing reels, it would be forbidden for them to use their phones in the restroom. The agreement stated that the choice was not made out of rage. “Yesterday when my kids made me watch ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ on Netflix, I realised my kids have gone crazy for ‘likes'” .

In addition, violators will not be allowed to place any further meal orders on Swiggy or Zomato for a period of one month.

The post has received a lot of responses from social media users since it was posted. The caption on the photo says, “My maasi made everyone in the house sign this agreement.”

“Manju masi is the human version of parampara, pratishtha, anushasan fr,” a user said.

Another said, “Manju Mausi is leading by example.”

“I wasn’t disappointed to read what the penalty would be for breach of contract,” another person said. Nothing will work if the penalty (*cough*threat) doesn’t guarantee that the terms are complied with. PS: I appreciate the chuckles; they brightened my morning.

One user said, “Seems fair.”

“Just to add one more thing. Another said, “If found guilty, I’ll confiscate the phone and replace it with a Nokia 1100.”

“I hope this doesn’t reach my mom’s eyes,” said a sixth user.
