Delhi Metro: ‘Cringe’-Inducing’ Video Shows Women Sleeping Over Each Other During Their Holi Celebration

Content artists are embracing Holi wholeheartedly as it draws near, posting reels and films on social media to showcase their own festivities. Among these, the Delhi metro has become an unanticipated hub for these artists, transforming their daily commutes into spontaneous locations for filming. Recently, this practice took a contentious turn when two ladies decided to become involved. Their disrespectful behavior sparked a backlash on social media.

The two ladies, one in a white dress and the other in a white saree, are seen in the popular video sitting on the subway floor among a smattering of colors. They start out with additional color powder over each other’s faces after their faces have already been coated in it, all to the rhythm of the song “Ang Laga De.”

The moment becomes more intense as they start rubbing their cheeks together, applying makeup, and doing other suggestive things like trying to kiss and pretending to sleep on one another in front of uneasy spectators.

As soon as the video appeared online, it caused a stir among users, who demanded that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) take legal action against these kinds of public demonstrations.

One user commented, “I feel really sorry for the people who had to witness it in the train and were unable to stop them.” Another mockingly said, “Delhi Metro now providing free Oyo-like facilities? I’m eager to see whether they also provide room service. A third said, “It’s disgusting.”

“Delhi Metro should fine these cringey people,” another commentator proposed. Their cringe-worthy films have no place in the metro or any other public area.

Although DMRC has not yet responded to this particular event, it has denounced similar incidents in the past and emphasized the significance of commuters acting responsibly.

It states, “Travelers should refrain from engaging in any indecent or obscene behavior that could irritate or offend other commuters.” Decency is a crime under Section 59 of the DMRC Operations and Maintenance Act.
