Says Ayushmann Khurrana, “Hustling is very important for outsiders,” he “snatched” Andhadhun from Sriram Raghavan

After appearing in the movie “Dream Girl 2,” Ayushmann Khurrana has portrayed a number of iconic characters. His 2018 movie “Andhadhun” is still considered one of his most well-known performances to date. A few incidents from his cult masterpiece “Andhadhun,” which was directed by Sriram Raghavan and starred Tabu, were recently disclosed by the actor. He spoke about the movie and acknowledged that he had “snapped” it from Sriram Raghavan.He also revealed Raghavan’s original perception that he didn’t ‘fit’ the part.

The actor spoke about how he “hustled” for the movie in an interview with Mashable. “I have stolen the film from him,” said Ayushmann. I hustled throughout the movie. Outsiders find hustle to be very essential, and I continue to hustle.

I went to his office and told him I wanted to work on this movie after learning that he was writing and producing it. He said, “I can’t see you in this movie,” which is exactly what Anubhav Sinha had told me about Article 15. I had invited him to audition for the movie, and he had also said, “I don’t see you in this.” People stop asking you to audition after you become a popular actor. The greatest performers still try out, however, in the West. Thus, I don’t feel guilty. What prevents you from holding an audition if you are so confident in your ability?

The actor said that he was not aware that Sriram had invited him for an audition. “We’ll jam on these scenes,” he remarked, according to Ayushmann. He was trying out for me, in a way. “Let’s do this,” I thought. I was feeling quite excited. Every movie that is sent to me is treated as if it were my first. Put your everything into it; it seems like the first project. Life isn’t enjoyable until you experience that thrill.

In a further admission, the actor said that neither he nor his co-star Tabu knew Andhadhun was a dark comedy. Additionally, we had no idea that Andhadhun would be a humorous movie. I was taking Tabu’s words very seriously, and he had not disclosed that it was a dark comedy.

The actor went on to say that since Sriram Raghavan didn’t tell him or his co-star Tabu, none of them understood that “Andhadhun” was a comedy or dark comedy. He went on, “We weren’t informed about the genre by him [Sriram Raghavan].

It really felt like becoming blind. I really had a pretty unpleasant experience, but I was behaving as if I was blind. When the video was edited, people started laughing, but I couldn’t figure out why. Considering that you believe you have produced a really serious picture after going through that route. There is a certain shock value, and people are laughing as a result. A man with a pistol is standing in the restroom where I am about to urinate, and others are giggling! What’s there to laugh about, I thought to myself?

After its release in 2018, “Andhudhun” became a huge critical and financial success at the box office. It collected a global collection of about Rs 400 crore and was especially popular in China.
