Tamil actor Prasanna explains his decision to make his Hindi debut in the series Ranneeti: “Entering the Bollywood industry is not

Actor Prasanna, who has mostly performed in Tamil films, spoke candidly about Bollywood’s dearth of “good offers.” Since 2002, the Five Star actor has been involved in many films. Prasanna has a 22-year career and has also acted in a few Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada movies. After much anticipation, the Anjathe actor finally made his Hindi screen debut in Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond. Based on the real-life hero Abhinandan Varthaman, Prasanna portrays the Indian fighter pilot Abhimanyu in the newest series.

In an exclusive interview, Prasanna visits DNA India to promote his most recent show. During the talk, Prasanna gives his explanation for why he chose to launch a series in Hindi. When asked whether he is not interested in Bollywood, Prasanna responds right away, saying, “I wouldn’t say I was not interested, but getting into Bollywood is not an easy thing, even for an actor who has experience working in the South.” Further elaborating, he said, “This is like a bigger horizon, getting to know people, and getting yourself landed with a good offer is very difficult.”

Prasanna discusses his career and describes himself as positive. The actor declares, “I’m being very optimistic and I was always happy with what I was doing.” I never imagined that I would be working in Telugu, Malayalam, or Kannada films when I began my career in Tamil. However, fate ultimately made the proper connections for me, and I accepted.” “God has been kind to me and gave me Ranneeti as my first Hindi project,” says Prasanna. This program has been the best premiere I could have hoped for. I’m happy with what I have and excited for the next adventure.”

Santosh Singh is the director of the nine-episode series, which has an ensemble cast that includes Jimmy Shergill, Lara Dutta, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ashutosh Rana, and others. JioCinema is now offering the television series Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond for streaming.
