Are You Up For The Fiery Hot Wings Challenge? You Must Sign A “Loss Of Life” Waiver First

Have you ever consumed so much food that it put you into a food coma right away? Or have you ever intentionally tasted a food that makes your eyes water when it’s hot and sizzling? If so, Canterbury, Kent, UK-based Wing Kingz restaurant has launched a brand-new culinary challenge that will undoubtedly put your tolerance for spice to the test. The “Earn Your Wingz” food challenge asks contestants to consume fifteen chicken wings covered in Carolina Reaper spicy sauce. The intense heat and spice of the tasty sauce are well-known. But before taking on this intense task, patrons must sign a special “Loss of Life Waiver” form that the restaurant has developed.

The “Earn Your Wingz” challenge from Wing Kingz is very challenging and may even pose a risk to one’s life. Because of this, the restaurant requires patrons to sign a life waiver form before to accepting the challenge. The release document provided by the restaurant serves as a means of protecting both the participant and the establishment by acknowledging the possibility of severe pain that Carolina Reaper may cause.

The purpose of the challenge is to see how well the body can withstand intense heat and spice. The competitors will have a rigorous 10-minute timeframe in which to complete all 15 wings. Additionally, they will have five more minutes to evaluate their state and comprehend the implications of the task. The winners of the challenge will get a free lunch and a place on the Wall of Fame at the restaurant.

“I acknowledge that I will be engaging in the Earn Your Wingz Challenge, whereby there may be a risk of personal injury, illness, or possible loss of life, as well as damage to or loss of personal property,” the Loss of Life Waiver form reportedly said, according to the New York Post. I acknowledge that I am taking part in the Earn Your Wingz Challenge at my own risk and that I will not hold Wing Kingz, its staff, or its affiliates accountable for any outcomes that may arise from my decision to do so.

Speaking of peppers, Ed Currie, an American breeder, created the Carolina Reaper, which possesses a blistering heat that can reach 2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU). From 2013 until recently, it was the hottest pepper on the planet, a title it lost to another hot pepper that Ed Currie also produced.
