“Beemar,” Himanta Sarma remarks. Nitish Kumar requests that JDU remove him from his position as Bihar chief minister because he requires treatment

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is still protesting in the state legislature on Thursday, demanded that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar quit and refused to accept his apologies for his “population control” comment. Assam chief minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma urged that Kumar be replaced as the chief minister of Bihar because he required “rest and treatment” as the party maintained its assertion that he had lost his mental equilibrium.

“He has made similar remarks before. This is not the first time. His equilibrium has been disrupted. I want JDU administration to provide him with enough rest and care. In Madhya Pradesh, Sarma said, “You should be mentally fit for the position of CM; I think he is not fit for it right now.”

According to Sarma, he should not be in charge of the state since his comment indicated that he was “beemar (ill)”.

“He should be removed from his position as chief minister by his party. “The state is at risk from a chief minister who has lost their mental equilibrium,” he said.

In his Tuesday speech to the Bihar legislature, Nitish Kumar discussed the role that education plays in population control. He gave a crass explanation of how an educated woman might constrain her husband during sex. He released an apology on Wednesday after the comment caused controversy.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, however, said that his apology is insincere.

“This kind of disrespect to women is unacceptable for someone to be a CM. He should resign from his post; saying sorry won’t help,” he said.

“You should talk about providing justice to women of Bihar,” Amravati MP Navneet Rana said. We don’t need your apologies; instead, please submit your resignation.”

For the second day in a row, BJP legislators protested inside the Bihar legislature on Thursday. The speaker of the house adjourned the proceedings till 2:00 pm as a result of their inside-the-house protests seeking Kumar’s resignation.

PM Modi attacked Kumar on Wednesday, claiming that his actions damaged India’s reputation.

“This leader stated something unthinkable in front of female lawmakers during the assembly while serving as the INDI alliance’s flag bearer and engaging in a number of games to overthrow the existing central administration. He spoke some vulgar things. He has no shame; koi sharm nahi hai unko. Not a single INDI alliance leader was prepared to speak out against this disrespect to women. Can those who have such negative beliefs about women benefit you in any way? Can they keep your honor intact? said Modi.
