Bihar Board Exams 2024: Exams Commence on February 1; BSEB Releases Guidelines

Guidelines for test days have been released by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) in preparation for the 2024 Class 10 and 12 board exams. A critical review conference was recently held by the board with nodal officials from every district to address important matters concerning the 2024 Bihar board exams.

In the course of this crucial conference, the deputy chief secretary issued a number of orders, directing district education authorities to expeditiously complete major infrastructure projects at each testing location throughout the state. The purpose of this preemptive action is to guarantee ideal circumstances prior to the start of the BSEB Intermediate test on February 1.

According to sources, BSEB chairman Anand Kishore emphasized a number of crucial rules to expedite the examination procedure:

It is required of candidates to report to the test venue no later than thirty minutes before to the exam’s planned start time. More stringent protocols have been implemented, stating plainly that applicants who are late will not be allowed to enter the test hall.

Two tiers of strict frisking protocols will be put into place. Under the watchful eyes of judges and law enforcement, a frisking procedure will be carried out at the gate upon admission to the testing facility. The test hall will then undergo a second round of frisking by invigilators to make sure that all materials and electronic devices are thoroughly inspected.

— For every 25 applicants in each class, one examiner will be appointed to maintain the integrity of the exams. Additionally, a sufficient number of inspectors will be assigned to guarantee the tests run well.

It is completely forbidden for invigilators and other exam hall employees to bring extra paper, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, smart watches, magnetic watches, or electronic timepieces into the testing facility.

— To ensure adherence to set norms, the committee has mandated filming arrangements and all test centers are obliged to have CCTV cameras installed.

Surprise checks of different test centers within their districts will be carried out by nodal authorities. To ensure compliance with protocols and promptly resolve any concerns, these inspections will be carried out using an extensive checklist that has been supplied by the committee.

— The committee established a WhatsApp group including nodal officers, district education officers, and district authorities in an attempt to promote smooth communication. This portal will ensure the success of the examination process by acting as a quick and effective method of information dissemination.
