Farmer from Bihar built his own tractor from the ground up; here’s how much it cost him

Vinod Kumar Patel, a 50-year-old farmer, lacks both the essential agricultural tools and the money to buy them. Despite the difficulty, he maintained his spirit and used the engine of a pumping set machine to build a tractor. According to Vinod, who spoke to News 18, he spent a year and Rs 2,00000 on the production of this tractor.

Vinod comes from the hamlet of Phulwaria in the Bihar Siwan district’s Raghunathpur subdivision. With his distinctive tractor, he has dominated the news in the community of Phulwaria. With the use of this device, according to Vinod, he can now effortlessly plow the land.

According to Vinod, the 350 horsepower pumping set machine engine was employed in this tractor. He also said that this engine was useless and was being preserved as rubbish. Vinod had the inspiration to utilize this engine, so he did so and used it to build a tractor. Except for one of the wheels, every component of the tractor, including the box and the gear, is constructed of iron, according to Vinod. He used it to create the tractor’s extractor before adding the engine for the pumping set machine. Similar to conventional tractors, this one is capable of doing all jobs and can plow fields of 10 katha (0.3 acres).

Vinod bemoans the length of time he had to spend building this tractor because of a lack of funding. After introducing this ‘new age tractor’ to the market, he has since become an instant phenomenon. Vinod’s model has been well received by farmers, who have also requested that he make them identical tractors in return. He has so far received a total of 25 orders, but owing to the financial crisis, he is unable to fulfill them. He continues to strive to finish the orders submitted and deliver them to the clients on schedule. To address this issue, Vinod has put a requirement in place and requested the clients to advance him 50% of the tractor’s cost. He said that after the automobiles are produced, they would give him the remaining sum.
