Caste Census Report for Bihar: CM Nitish Kumar Calls Meeting With All Parties To Discuss Next Steps

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, convened an all-party meeting on Tuesday to share the caste census report’s specifics and talk about the next measures that must be done, after the release of the survey’s findings based on caste. According to reports, the chief minister would provide all the specific details pertaining to the computations used to determine the findings and the economic circumstances of the respondents.

“After all was done, the outcome was revealed. Every family’s financial situation has been considered. We will keep everything open to everyone at the all-party meeting tomorrow. According to reports in the media, the Bihar Chief Minister said that the administration will take all required actions after considering everyone’s comments in the meeting.

All nine of the state’s political parties have been encouraged by the chief minister to attend the conference.

Caste Census Report for Bihar
The Bihar Jaati Adharit Ganana, better known as the caste-based survey, findings were made public by the Bihar government on Monday.

According to the most recent census, the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) make up 63% of the state’s population, while the Scheduled Castes make up over 19% of the 13 million people and the Scheduled Tribes make up 1.68 %.

15.52 percent of the state’s population is made up of the higher castes, or “savarnas.”

Nitish Kumar’s insult against the BJP
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, criticized the BJP and questioned what the party had done for the backward groups after promising to fight for the development of the state’s underprivileged residents.

Lalu Yadav, leader of the RJD, referred to it as a “historic moment” and is a supporter of Nitish Kumar.

Yadav claimed in a post on X that the caste-based survey was released by the Bihar government “despite many conspiracies by the BJP and legal hurdles”
