Nitish is bothered by Patna’s extreme heat

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, who has survived many storms, felt the heat on Sunday.

The elderly man braved the scorching heat to attend a celebration honouring Anugrah Narayan Singh, the first deputy chief minister of the state, on the occasion of his birthday.

The dignitaries were sweltering in the city’s high temperatures, which have been consistently far over 40 degrees Celsius for several days with no relief even at night, as they sat under a marquee.

After the ceremony, the JD(U) supreme leader approached the group of media and said, “Bahut garmi hai” (it is too hot).

As journalists started firing questions on the BJP’s new call for a universal civil code, a personal staff member stood next to the chief minister, holding an umbrella over his head.

The politician, who will soon convene a summit of figures hostile to the BJP, was anticipated to make some interesting remarks.

Let’s speak about these issues later, Kumar muttered, seeming to have succumbed to the oppressive heat. Today is very hot,” she said as she walked by the reporters and waved to them.
