On Thursday, Amit Shah will address a rally in Lakhisarai, Bihar

Amit Shah, the senior BJP figure and Union Home Minister, will speak at a large rally on Thursday in the Bihar district of Munger, a Lok Sabha district. Following the opposition gathering on June 23 in Patna, which was hosted by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shah will make his first trip to the state.

Senior BJP officials, including the party’s state president Samrat Choudhary, and union ministers from Bihar will greet the union home minister when he arrives at the airport here in the afternoon.

“The home minister will go to Lakhisarai in a helicopter from the airport. Before speaking at a public gathering there, he would offer prayers at Ashok Dham, a well-known temple honouring Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Choudhary said on Wednesday.

Nearly three months have passed since Shah last went there. All residents of the state are invited to join Shah’s public gathering where he would discuss the advancements achieved by the nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, said Choudhary, especially those in the Munger Lok Sabha seat, which includes Lakhisarai.

Rajiv Ranjan Singh, aka “Lalan,” the national head of Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), which broke with the BJP last year, presently represents the Munger Lok Sabha seat. Due to the arrival of the union home minister, security has been stepped up in the Munger Lok Sabha constituency, and drones are also being utilised for overhead observation, according to the police. Shah will fly out Thursday night to New Delhi.
