Prioritize M-Y voters as JD(U) attempts to duplicate the achievements of ’19

Patna: On Wednesday, the campaign trail for one of Bihar’s most talked-about Lok Sabha seats came to a close in Purnia. After former legislator Pappu Yadav entered the race as an independent after the RJD refused him a ticket, this seat became a subject of conversation.

Pappu is running as an independent, Bharti is running as an Indian, and Santosh Kumar Kushwaha, a serving JD (U) MP, is running as an NDA candidate. This makes the contest triangular. Despite the fact that Pappu and Bharti have strong support from the RJD and Muslims and Yadav voters, respectively, this seat may divide the M-Y vote. Realizing the harm that Pappu may do, Tejashwi has been working nonstop to win back RJD supporters.
According to businessman Mohammad Saddam of Purnia, “Pappu Yadav is supported by a significant portion of traditional Muslim and Yadav voters in the RJD.” Tejashwi is now running for office, which might alter the outcome. In fact, individuals are beginning to have second thoughts.

The brawl, according to Chandwa village resident Raghav Singh, included Pappu and Kushwaha. “Yadav supporters seemed to be mentally disoriented. While RJD candidate Bima Bharti, who is not a very strong contender, is on the opposite side from Pappu Yadav, Singh said.

A farmer in Ramnagar, Champanagar Nagar panchayat, named Himkar Mishra, said that the NDA will win the seat as a result of the conflict between Pappu Yadav and the RJD. “Despite strong opposition to Kushwaha, I believe he will prevail,” Mishra said. He also mentioned that although Pappu is more popular in Purnia’s cities, the NDA is supported throughout the country.
