This Bihar girl, who topped IIT, placed 66th in BPSC, and is now ranked 455 in UPSC, has the world at her feet

On Tuesday, the much expected Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2023 test results were made public. The commission has also revealed the list of top performers in addition to the findings. According to the results, Aditya Srivastava placed first in the competitive test, followed nationwide by Animesh Pradhan in second place.

Up to 347 general candidates, 115 EWS candidates, 303 OBC applications, 165 SC candidates, and 86 ST candidates cleared all rounds of the UPSC test. A native of Aurangabad named Monica Srivastava recorded her position in the 455th rank out of the 1016 securing candidates.

According to accounts, Monica is the daughter of Bharti Srivastava, a principal, and engineer Brajesh Srivastava. She had previously passed the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) test in 66th place.

Monica told Local18 that she would give her all to fulfill whatever role and obligation the commission assigns her when she passes the UPSC exams. In addition, she said that she would always make an effort to act in the best interests of the country and the general population.

Monica attributes her accomplishments to her parents’ blessings, her siblings’ support, and all of the helpful advice she has received from her professors thus far. In addition to earning a spot in the BPSC and UPSC exams, Monica is said to have ranked first among the female candidates in the IIT admission test. Following her graduation from IIT Guwahati, Monica had a prominent role in a private corporation located in Chennai.

This year’s UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Exam was held on May 28. Those who made it through the first round of testing might take the main exam. The personal interview was held after the UPSC CSE mains results were declared on December 8.

After passing the competitive test, candidates for the UPSC will be assigned to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), among other central governmental agencies and ministries.
