Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software now includes generative AI features

New Delhi: Premiere Pro, Adobe’s video editing program, will soon include generative AI features. The software’s capabilities are extended in a natural and intuitive way by the incorporation of generative AI capabilities into already-existing processes. A brand-new Firefly model for generating video will be added to the collection of vector, image, text, and design effects already available.

Adobe offers support for third-party generative video models in addition to its own, such as RunwayML from Runway and Sora from OpenAI, which both generate movies with the use of text instructions. You may add a few seconds to clips by integrating Pika. A video showcasing the features and the smooth incorporation of the generative AI tools into the current UI has been made available by Adobe.

“Adobe is reimagining every step of video creation and production workflow to give creators new power and flexibility to realize their vision,” says Ashley Still, senior vice president of Adobe’s Creative Product Group. We are alleviating actual problems that video editors face on a daily basis and providing them with more time to devote to their art by integrating generative AI advancements deeply into the foundational processes of Premiere Pro.

Adobe is seeing a future when numerous generative AI models, each with its own capabilities, would be used in place of a single model that dominates benchmarks for generative video. Adobe has said that it wants to provide video editors as many options as possible, which is why it has integrated many generative AI technologies from third parties.

AI-powered audio processes
Adobe also revealed that AI-powered audio workflows would be available the following month. These workflows will include interactive fade handles for creating unique audio transitions and an Enhance Speech tool that enhances low-quality recordings and eliminates background noise. AI also classifies audio samples automatically into categories such as ambient, sound effects, music, and speech. To identify which clips have audio effects, a new effect badge has been added to the waveforms.
