Coming in 2027: Part 3 of the Final Fantasy VII Remake? What to anticipate from the last installment of the trilogy

A trilogy based on the 1997 masterpiece Final Fantasy 7 is set to release, with the first game coming out in April 2020. This year, in February, the second installment came. When the third installment of the series releases in 2027, Square Enix might wrap up the series in three years.

Although the company has published an update about the launch timetable, they have not disclosed an actual debut date for the new game. A portion of the developer interviews included in the companion book for Final Fantasy 7: Remake Ultimania are the source of the information.

Aitaikimochi, an X user, shared a few passages from the book. Yoshinori Kitase, the director of Square Enix, was reported by her as stating that FF7 Rebirth was completed in three years, and they want to stick to the same timeline for Part 3. Given that the second installment of the remake trilogy will be released in February 2024, 2027 may see the release of the third game.

Part 3 of the Final Fantasy VII Remake: What is known
The core plot of the FF7 Remake Part 3 has already been finished, according to @aitaikimochi. Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura allegedly said that voice recording for characters might begin shortly.

Yoshinori Kitase allegedly suggested “something” that was crucial to add, even though it wasn’t in the original game, according to Nomura. According to reports, Nomura states that if they succeed, people would undoubtedly be delighted. It is said that he is considering how to provide that novel component.

Nomura said that the idea for the Final Fantasy VII remake project is to address every FF7 collection work, including light novels, games, movies, and more. These components were included in the 2020 Remake and 2024 Rebirth. The third installment, which builds on the 1997 narrative, is anticipated to also follow this pattern.

Meanwhile, Kitase said that Part 3 would have the same team as well as the same personnel from the previous installment, which is why FF7 Rebirth was such an effective development phase.

Teruki Endo, the director of the FF7 Remake/Rebirth Battle, supposedly wants even more latitude for Part 3’s world exploration. Rather than providing a straight route for players to follow in order to reach their objective, he proposes that players should be free to choose how they choose to get there.
