Details of Hyundai’s five-year, 650 million litre water conservation programme using “Dry-wash”

Hyundai Motor India has been developing an amazing “Dry Wash” service for its clients throughout its service network and workshops in India as part of its commitment to water saving and sustainability. Through this programme, the corporation has saved more than 650 million gallons of water over the last five years.
How did Hyundai manage to save water?
Vehicle cleaning typically uses 120 litres of water per vehicle for a single wash.

Hyundai claims that by offering Dry Wash as a substitute, it hopes to lessen the negative environmental effects of water-intensive cleaning techniques. Dry Wash is a waterless vehicle wash solution that was introduced in 2017 and is ecologically friendly. It can be easily done anywhere.
According to Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India, the automaker has serviced over 5.5 million automobiles in India over the last five years, saving over 650 million litres of water with the assistance of its Dry Wash service project. This much water is more than enough to meet over 4.8 million people’s daily water needs.

Hyundai offers more than just dry cleaning services. Among its green efforts are waterborne paint systems, paperless procedures, LED lighting, solarization, and rainwater collection.
The business also expressed its appreciation to its clients for their forward-thinking attitudes and enthusiastic uptake of waterless washing, which makes a substantial contribution to the development of a sustainable future.
