Following the CEO’s resignation, Byju Raveendran will assume daily operations of the company

Following the departure of CEO Arjun Mohan, Byju Raveendran, the founder of the edtech business Think and Learn, which owns Byju’s brand, will take over the day-to-day operations of the company, the company said on Monday.

After the relocation, the firm revealed a significant restructuring that would divide its operations into three distinct sectors: test-prep, online courses and tutoring centers, and The Learning App.

“The modifications come after a comprehensive seven-month operational assessment and cost-cutting initiative headed by departing CEO of BYJU’S India Arjun Mohan.

Byju Raveendran will also take a more active role in managing the day-to-day operations of the business during this new phase, according to the corporation.

Mohan will now take on an external advisory position, providing the firm and its founders with his extensive knowledge of edTech throughout this period of development.

Raveendran has mostly concentrated on strategic matters during the previous four years, including securing funding and promoting international development.

“BYJU’S is now well-positioned to begin its next chapter of innovation-led growth by launching at scale its new suite of AI-first products that have already received overwhelmingly positive feedback in the pilot phase,” the statement read. “With this new organisational structure and with the return of Byju Raveendran as the operational leader.”
